Who are we looking for?

It is an exciting time to be joining Artfinder and we have established campaigns around eCRM, email marketing, paid search & social and conversion rate optimisation. We are looking to continually improve all these areas and drive on into other channels. Our marketing activities are very focused around data driven decisions specifically within the customer acquisition and retention areas.

The role has a broad remit and will take ownership of the eCRM & email channels and will also be ultimately responsible for managing our external agencies.

We envisage the ideal candidate would have a broad set of knowledge around digital marketing and will have a working knowledge of PPC, social & SEO. In addition to this we see the ideal candidate having a real depth of knowledge in the eCRM and email marketing space, ideally with experience of setting up these functions, and certainly experience of managing highly successful campaigns. The ability to develop team members is also an important aspect of this role.

An understanding of the retail and/or art space and visual merchandising would be advantageous. Someone who has an inquisitive, analytical mind with a strong grounding in marketing theory and practical experience.

Very importantly, we’re looking for someone who is self motivated, thrives in an ever changing environment and someone who is capable of working across multiple areas simultaneously. You must have the ability and aptitude to be able to roll your sleeves up and ‘do’ as well as manage.

Your responsibilities will include

The head of digital marketing will be responsible for our customer acquisition and retention across key marketing channels including paid & organic search, display, email & social with a particular focus on eCRM and email marketing.

Your day to day job will also include:

  • Running our eCRM & email marketing campaigns to encourage repeat sales and brand engagement, ensuring strong reporting, monitoring and constant performance improvements.
  • Evaluating best platform solutions for our needs and implementing them (with the input of our technical team).
  • Manage, enrich and continually develop our customer understanding via audience segmentation
  • Directly managing paid search/social/display agency. Regular comms to ensure they are hitting targets and are constantly motivated & challenged.
  • Directly managing other digital marketing agencies as and when we bring them onboard, and assisting in their appointment
  • Helping to develop our marketing team members, motivating them and imparting marketing know-how throughout.
  • Monitoring and reporting on all marketing channel effectiveness and working with the part-time CMO to ensure constant improvement and progression
  • Working closely with the part-time CMO to set marketing strategy

Your experience

  • Deep experience of eCRM and email marketing ideally including choosing the right platforms and solutions.
  • Digital retail experience – eg deep understanding and experience of customer acquisition, average order values, retention rates, lifetime value and conversion rates
  • Some experience and/or exposure to paid, social, display, affiliates and SEO desirable
  • Proven track record of creating best of class digital marketing campaigns
  • Expert in GDPR regulations and implementation of regulations
  • Ability to manage and nurture in-house marketing talent
  • Working within a small, ‘startup feel’ digital business and ability to ‘roll your sleeves up’
